$115 profit in AAPL
Happy September!
I shared a winning put ratio spread in TXN just last week, and here's another winning put ratio spread in AAPL.
This week:
$115 profit in Apple (AAPL)
$115 profit in AAPL
Similar to the TXN trade, I entered this position in AAPL after they reported earnings and the stock dropped.
Again, because tech can and has been volatile, I wanted to give myself a little bit of a safety net in case I was wrong, and that comes in the form of a put ratio spread which can protect me a little to the downside.
I sold the $280/285 put ratio expiring Aug 21 for $115 credit.

Similar to the TXN trade, AAPL basically ended up moving straight up so the put ratio never came into play, which is fine because that means the entire spread expired worthless and I still kept the full $115 initial credit as realized profit.
As the post states, this was also winning trade #5 for the July course. Starting in 2026 I am committed to having at least 5 winning trades during the course, so this hits that milestone.
Speaking of the course, there will be 2 batches in 2027, likely in January and July. I will be sharing the registration link in this newsletter some time in October/November, so look out for it!
In the meantime you can find more information about the course here.
This trade (and all trades in this newsletter) are shared in close-to real time to my private community as updates in my own portfolio (not recommendations). If you're familiar with the basic mechanics of options, you can consider joining the private community to view these updates as well.
And of course the guidance for managing and closing both trades were posted to the community as well.
You can find out more about my private community at the link below.
Have a good weekend!
