Happy Sunday!

Just a quick note that the link to indicate interest in the first options course of 2027 will be sent in 2 weeks on 8 November. Do look out for the email and you can check out the FAQ page for the course here.

Speaking about the course, I didn't update the results from my most recent course held from July to August.

9 trades were placed over 8 weeks with all 9 closed for a total realized profit of

$1,224.

Again, this was just over 8 weeks - the goal is really to create an income stream that can continue to generate cashflow over years, not just weeks.

On to the portfolio and it's been a while since the last put ratio trade (I think the last was this TXN trade which resulted in $305 profit), so I'm happy to share a new one in AMGN.

This week:

  1. $290 profit in Amgen (AMGN)

$290 profit in AMGN

Back in September, AMGN had a pretty big drop. I was willing to open a new position in AMGN, but I wanted a little bit of a safety net just in case AMGN continued to drop.

With that in mind I sold a $365/370 put ratio spread expiring Oct 16 for $290 credit.

If AMGN continued to slide down to $365, the trade could potentially make more profit than the $290 credit.

Eventually with about 2 weeks left to expiry, I paid $45 to close the position resulting in $75 realized profit, or about 63% of max profit.

This is the 4th win from 4 trades in AMGN in 2026, with a running realized profit total of $996 so far.

This trade (and all trades in this newsletter) are shared in close-to real time to my private community as updates in my own portfolio (not recommendations). If you're familiar with the basic mechanics of options, you can consider joining the private community to view these updates as well.

And of course the guidance for managing and closing both trades were posted to the community as well.

Have a good weekend!
