$340 profit in MSFT

Happy weekend!

2026 has been a crazy year for MSFT.

MSFT chart so far in 2026

The stock is down nearly 20% since January, but my profits from winning trades in MSFT are making up nearly 25% of my option profits for the year.

And of course, today's trade with $340 profit.

This week:

  1. $340 profit in Microsoft (MSFT)

$340 in MSFT

Like each of those MSFT trades I linked above, this is yet another put ratio spread in MSFT.

I really like put ratio spreads, especially with higher-priced stocks, because it gives me a nice buffer to the downside if I'm wrong, and I could possibly make more money out of it.

This time I sold a $360/365 put ratio spread expiring July 17 (just last week), for $340 in premium up

$340 realized profit from a put ratio spread in MSFT

As mentioned at the start, put ratios can possibly make more money when the stock goes down.

We can see from the screenshot that MSFT did drop to about $393 on July 17, but that was nowhere near the $360/365 strikes, so the entire put expired worthless, which meant I kept all the initial premium and realized $340 in profit.

This makes it 9 wins from 9 trades in MSFT with a running realized profit of $3,532. Looking forward to even more trades for the rest of 2026.

And of course the guidance for managing and closing both trades were posted to the community as well.
