Happy November!

Just a reminder that the link to indicate interest in the first options course of 2027 will be sent next Sunday. You can check out the FAQ page for the course here.

One thing that's new this year is that I'm committing to a minimum of 5 winning trades for each batch. The idea is to make sure there are at least 5 real examples to apply the theory to and watch it in action with real trades.

Because of that I've been tracking the stats a lot more closely and here are the stats from 2026.

Each course easily met the 5 trade minimum, and the realized profit amount wasn't too bad either.

By the way that one assignment was in the MDT trade which resulted in $541 profit, and as of now is still the only assignment in this portfolio so far in 2026.

This week:

  1. $75 profit in Starbucks (SBUX)

$75 profit in SBUX

When SBUX dropped last month, it hit all the requirements for my trade entry and I decided to enter a new position, selling the $90 cash-secured put expiring October 30 for $100 in credit.

With the way the market was moving, I thought I could probably squeeze a little bit more out of the trade, so I entered an order to buy it back for $45.

It took a while, but sticking to the system worked and I paid $45 to close the trade, resulting in $75 realized profit, or about 63% of max profit.

This is the 7th win from 7 trades in SBUX so far in 2026, with a running realized profit total of $680 so far.

This trade (and all trades in this newsletter) are shared in close-to real time to my private community as updates in my own portfolio (not recommendations). If you're familiar with the basic mechanics of options, you can consider joining the private community to view these updates as well.

And of course the guidance for managing and closing both trades were posted to the community as well.

Have a good weekend!
