Happy September!

August was a very slow month, with only 4 trades closed.

Still, this makes it 3 years of consecutive positive returns since this newsletter and portfolio went live in September 2022.

The oldest open position in the portfolio is trade #140 which was placed on 30 July, which means that all the other trades from September 2022 to 30 July 2025 have been taken off for a profit.

For the update this week:

  1. $560 realized profit across 4 trades in August

You can click on any of the highlighted trades for their individual reports.

Older trades:

With August done, here's the running total of realized profits since the course's inception:

  • Year One (Sep 2022 - Aug 2023) - $3,422

  • Year Two (Sep 2023 - Aug 2024) - $6,292

  • Year Three (Sep 2024 - Aug 2025) - $9,833

This brings the total for the last 36 months to a realized profit of $19,547 or a running monthly average of $542.

By the way the last time I added capital to this portfolio was in June 2023, when we started saving for our mini-retirement. I think the first year was really me just getting used to trading in front of people (for my course), and I got more comfortable with the process in the subsequent years.

If you're familiar with options and want to follow along the trade updates, you can sign up for my Bread Crumb subscription which is priced at $49/month.

i.e. on average, each month you would pay $49 and potentially make $542, or 11x the subscription fee.

Every trade I share is from my real portfolio, which means if the trade isn't making money, I'm not making money either.

Do note none of these are recommendations - I'm just sharing trade updates within my own portfolio which may or may not be right for you.

Closing thoughts & useful links

It was a short trading week with the VIX initially spiking on Tuesday.

Unfortunately it didn't last, but I did manage to place a new trade which I'll update here as always.

Have a good weekend!
