Hello and welcome to The Money Loaf!
I wanted to start this blog to chronicle the journey of a relatively normal person on the path to FIRE (financial independence, retire early).
As I write this in November 2021, it seems so many content creators have gotten caught up in the hype around crypto, Tesla, meme stocks and other ways to go to the moon.
It’s almost like we’ve forgotten there’s a tried and tested way of building wealth: spending less than you earn and intelligently investing the rest!
My plan is to publish new posts weekly, including monthly net worth and cash flow updates. My goal is to be as transparent as possible so that you get specific details instead of vague ones.
There won’t be any “tendies” here, I don’t work at a FAANG company making $250k/yr. This is all about the simple (and slow) path to wealth building, and my approach to different aspects of personal finance.
Take the parts that make sense to you, tweak those that make some sense, and throw away those that don’t.
Personal finance is personal! I can only talk about my own experiences and how they’ve worked (or not) for me. Only you can decide what will work for you.
This Friday, I’ll be sharing my first monthly net worth update for October 2021.
Until then, please feel free to check out my financial independence blueprint, an overview of my numbers or connect with me on social media or Discord.
